The 7th annual Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride supports Movember to raise awareness and funds for Men’s Mental Health and Prostate Cancer research by making them a gentlemanly thing to talk about. The ride encourages men and women alike to dress dapper and ride handsome motorcycles in their nearest registered City on the same day around the globe, breaking down the stigma of what it means to talk about mental health as a man before it becomes a crisis whilst also reminding our men to have their prostate checked.
When the highest cause of male deaths in Australia are due to mental health, a close second is Prostate cancer in men both preventable with early awareness, taking 1.7m lives by 2030, you appreciate the effort that Mark Hawwa, his team and sponsors, Zenith Watches and Triumph Motorcycles, go to raise nearly $6 million US dollars for the cause this year.
Dressing dapper and DGR are usually used in the same sentence. This is what sets the worldwide event of 113,000 riders apart from the rest and the reason why it is so successful.
