POP-UP goodbye with Kingswood

On Saturday 27th September, The Shed hosted a private gig with our mates Kingswood for our members and local supporters. It was a celebration of both our completed 2014 Forty-Eight Sportster-come-Hill Fighter AND the closing of our 6 month pop-up space in Newtown. Keeping it local, we had beer supplied by local brewery Young Henry’s, pulled pork and slaw buns from Rising Sun Workshop culinary legend Nick Smith, and tunes from Kingswood who kindly took time out of their busy touring schedule to ride with us in the morning as well.

The gig opened with the bands rendition of the Cold Chisel classic “Rising Sun” … which touched us right in the feels!

Alex and Fergus joined our rag tag mob of RSW members and supporters in the morning for a ride through Sydney’s east coast before ending back at the pop-up space in Newtown at 4pm for the festivities to continue. Turns out the best time to go for a midday ride along the coast is when the Swans are in the final! There was hardly any traffic for a sunny Saturday ride along the beaches, and was a great start for an awesome day.

Our mates Davros and Tyler premiered a teaser of the EPIC film revealing the Hill Fighter, due for release any day now. Thanks to the Shed and watch this space as we appear in another light-filled, warehouse space in Newtown soon.
